Drainage Searches
Reveal vital information about your property
It is recommended by the Law Society that a drainage search be undertaken as part of the conveyancing process.
A full drainage and water search reveals vital information about a property including:
- Whether the property is connected to the mains water supply and public sewers.
- The location of sewers and mains water pipes (including any within the property boundaries).
- The identity of the water company supplying the property.
- Prior to April 2002, basic drainage details were provided in Local Authority Searches. However, this is no longer the case. Drainage information is now provided according to the Law Society’s Con29DW form. Our drainage reports are fully compliant with this new standard and are available for any property or site in the UK.
- We are more accommodating to your conveyancing needs than water companies as in addition to the full Con29DW Drainage and Water search, we offer a range of drainage searches.
- For properties throughout the UK, you can obtain our Basic Drainage Report. Providing details of public sewer connections, this is equivalent to the information previously provided in the Local Authority Search. For properties within the Welsh Water region, we are also able to provide an additional plan marked with sewers in the vicinity of the property.
